Great Marketing skills

The rise of technology in the marketing environment has made people’s lives much easier. By that I mean, before marketing used to be a great hassle. To promote your product you had to go to people house to sell your products, fielding telephone calls, buying ad space on newspaper, radio and television, etc. If you did not have money to pay for advertising space in media it was very difficult for your product to sell. In the online world, there are places like social media where you have to pay for advertising, but the best part is that you have an option. It’s either you choose paid advertisements or free posting. There are some individuals and companies that are still using the above platforms to market their product. I would recommend you to use these platforms if you have sufficient budget. Visiting people’s house can be draining and is time consuming.

Gratefully, the improvement of technology has opened many doors for markers to sell their products online. In the year 2000, it was estimated that more than 360 million people worldwide was using the internet. In the year 2015, about 3.2 billion people are now online worldwide. The growth rate has increase to 786%.
We now have email marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), websites, social media, mobile apps, etc. You can use all these platforms to market your product. Before I speak more about online marketing, I need you to be focused, determined, patient and disciplined. Lacking these four words would result in you giving up very easy. My presumption is that you have the f ‘love’ for marketing.  Love of marketing that you have will keep you focused.  Love of marketing that you have will build upon determination. Love of marketing that you have will make you to be patient.  Love of marketing that you have will keep you disciplined.

Let me give you a brief overview of email marketing and Search engine optimization, (SEO).
      Email marketing
This is one of the best ways to communicate with your potential customers. These are people who subscribe in your email list willingly; therefore it’s the best platform to build strong relationship.
Building an effective email marketing list
Since you want to use email marketing to drive business success, it is important that you set the right goals. In your list, you have to start with people that have expressed interest in your business. A welcoming message with be appropriate, followed by the details of your business, (Including your product / service).

It is important that you give relevant information to your customers to avoid distrust. Remember this, honesty goes a long way in the online world therefore I plead you to be true at all times. Build positive lasting relationship to all customers, whether they are new or old. The content that you provide to your customers has to be useful and entertaining. Don’t bore them with content that would make them sleep while reading your emails. You need to give your customers the ability to subscribe and unsubscribe themselves.

   Search engine optimization (SEO)
Have you ever wondered what search engine optimization is? You always heard people talking about SEO but you lack basic understanding of what it is and how does it work. The search engine is basically software that is designed to search for any information that you want. The program is so powerful that it’s providing information you require within seconds. When someone wants to find something, they type in a phrase or a word. This is what is called the search query. The search query then compares that query to catalogue of web pages pulling out the appropriate matches on the searcher. The display of these results is on the web page. Outcome or result page will show links like items for sales, maps, videos, photos, business listings, etc. Search engines has its own software programs and they perform the following tasks

They do crolling – That is to examine the content they learn about.
They do indexing – that is to categorize each piece of content
They do ranking – That is to decide which content is useful to the searches.
Algorithms and formulas help search engines to order the list of results. One of the things that search engines values the most is content that is relevant. You must always be consistent. Do not lack direction with your words. If you don’t know what you are saying and heading to, search engines optimization won’t help you. With all that information in mind, you will need to create an SEO plan. On that plan, you have to create excellent keywords. After you have created keywords, you have to take a look at search results to see how those words are doing. If something is not working, you need to do adjustments on your plan. It’s not right to attract visitors on your site without any customers.
